Problems but not a bad car

So I bought a 2010 Fusion SE V6. First I want to say that the power is pretty good. Comparied to other cars I tested like a honda accord and acura tsx. I did have to bring my car in 3 times to the dealer. All being related to the transmission computer. There was a TSB on the vehicle because of gears slipping going from 1 to 2 or 2 to 3. The first dealer I didn't like Dennison in bloomington, IL. They said that the computer software was already updated. The next weekend brought it to Rod Baker Ford in Plainfield and they drove it and kept it over night. They were able to duplicate the problem and called ford and found out there is a new download to be put onto the computer and that was done. The car drove fine for about a month and then started acting weird again. Like slipping gears. Brought it back and they reset the computer and did the download again. Now I know these new cars and their computers need to get use to your driving habits. So after I got it back I thought to myself I will baby the car until it gets to the correct operating temperature and then I can drive normal. I have had the car for 3 months and the car shifts better then when I drove it off the lot. So if you have the same problem have them reset the computer and do the latest TSB on the transmission and baby the car till the temperature gauge gets to the correct temperature and the car is a perfect machine. Oh yeah and it is great in snow even tho I don't have the AWD.

Ford

This is one great car. Just one more reason American cars are better than cars from Japan. Never been happier with one of my cars. I look foward to getting a 2nd soon.

2010 Fusion SEL

A well put together car worth driving & owning. The I4 engine is enough to power this car & gets 27 to 33 MPG.

Very surprised!! Very happy!!

Bought my 2010 Fusion SEL in Feb 2010. Just turned 11K miles and still loving it. I get lots of compliments on the styling and I could not have been happier with my decision. Been a Honda owner for over 10 years and the price, options and reliability could not have been better. Thanks FORD!!

My newest "favorite thing"

Love my 2010 Fusion -- quiet, comfortable and beautiful. Hands-free telephone is a plus. Controls are easy to reach and responsive.

2010 SEL V6

Great car, handles and drives fine. Soft and comfortable ride, interior has stepped up from year before. Good gas mileage for a V6... 30+ hwy and 26+ mixed. I think it beats the imports...

Sweet Ride

Bought the AWD loaded with GPS, moonroof, and all the bells and whistles. Comfortable seats, great ride and handling. Sure beats my previous monster SUV. My passengers are amazed with the large screen displaying radio, map, etc. Great Car.

Finally a good American car

Last car was a Acura TL 2003, great car but, I wanted to get away from having to buy Premium gas. Almost got a Altama until I drove the this Ford Fusion. Other card recently owned, Honda Accord and Honda CRV. Had the car since July, it's October now. No issues. Highs: 41mpg on highway (EPA is 35 Hwy) 26 city. Reg gas. Heated leather seats, Microsoft Sync, LED mood lighting, auto headlights, dual temp control, roomy trunk with pass through, cool looking blue lighted dash. No gas cap. 6 speed auto. Fit and finish are perfect. Heated mirrors. I phone port and blue-tooth. Nice turning radius. Good ride. 0% financing and $rebate too. Lows: the 4 cycl engine seems a bit strained under heavy acceleration but, with the kind of mileage I'm getting I can live with that. Mirrors do not fold.

Fusion Sport

If you are going to look at a Fusion, don't pass up looking at the Sport model. The 3.5 liter engine provides more power than necessary, and the sport steering, oversize rims, and low profile tires make driving this little car a pleasure. It is sports car fun on a family car budget.
