As much as I think this car was cute it was an absolute

As much as I think this car was cute it was an absolute mechanical nightmare. Had the car only until 87,000 miles. I would not recommend this car to my worst enemy, it was given to me and throughout the 4 years of driving it starting at 45,000 miles it needed almost $10,000 worth of work. Thats not getting anything extra, for example the cars engine failed and the car rolled backwards down a hill, when getting inspected the car was found to have a front tire that was about to fall off, the cars heat and ac would kill the engine power so you would just have to be uncomfortable if you wanted to get on the highway. Although the car was a mechanical nightmare its drive was perfect, everyone I talk to also says they love the way it drives. It’s an suv that really drives like a truck, the cargo space was incredible and it did amazing in the snow and the rain even without awd. It’s a good car if you’re not counting on reliability and have no problem with a 5lb brake. But it comes with a built in flash light!

A Great First Car

I got this car a year ago and it was totally misused by it's previous owners. When I got it I could tell that it had been taken mudding so I was pretty skeptical, but as I got accustomed to it and changed out the suspension and quick struts, my car drove like a dream. It is definitely a great car with great audio. Definitely recommend for new drivers.

Piece of junk

Car is just a piece of junk and will burn your wallet to oblivion. With this I’ll never buy another Jeep again. I got videos and proof of what a hex this xxx is.

NOT recommended

Had this car for about 2 years now. Only has about 170k miles on it. Was okay at first, has been a money pit since. As of today, writing this review, MORE problems arose with it. I would not recommend this model (or the year at least), I would recommend saving your money and buying something better.

Has some issues, not a bad car.

i own a 2008 jeep patriot, it’s very zippy for a 4 cylinder and with the 5 speed 4x4, it’s very capable in any condition. drives smooth and the speakers sound amazing, great ac and heating. lots of room for trips. it’s all around an okay car.

Alright: Not the Most Durable, Lasting Vehicle

Needed a car that was decent sized for my first car but reasonably priced. Purchased a 2008 Jeep Patriot with about 85,000 miles and not long after 110,000 I had to get a new one because of transmission, brake, etc. issues. Love how jeeps drive but it scared me away from wanting another one.

Good used car so far

Car is good choice for me. Plenty of room inside, comfortable for type of car and lots of features. I wish it had a six cylinder engine because the four cylinder struggles on the hills.

Worst vehicle I've ever owned!

I wish I never bought this vehicle. The power in it died after owning it a few months. When I went to put my window down the heat would shut off. So I cut the wire and put in cranks for the window. I had a problem with putting gas in the car. My mechanic couldn't figure out the problem but I could only get gas at Stewarts gas station. If I got it anywhere else as I drove out of the gas station parking lot my vehicle would stall as I was driving. Because of this I couldn't take my Jeep out of town. This was my biggest problem with the Jeep! It was spacious that I could fit bigger items in the back with the seats folded down. However the headrests were very uncomfortable. It did handle very well in the snow & we get a lot in Upstate NY.
