  • 21 GLB cylinder head

15K miles the fuel filter issue, not a big deal but at just 21K miles (exactly 2 yrs old) and the cylinder head needs replacement. I leased this vehicle and will not be buying it as planned.

  • Four cylinders are not the way of the future

The engine blew at 26,000 miles. The bearings let loose. After seeing reviews online with other owners with the same motor, they’re all reporting a knock in the engine which is how this one started. Buyer beware if this car does not have a V6. The motor is too small to pull the weight or the company is cost cutting on the parts to operate the engine for its application I believe The lightweight four-cylinder motor is a way for Mercedes to save costs. However, the costs are transferred to the owner with a four-cylinder and repairs down the road. Most companies seem to be moving towards four cylinders in these larger cars and dependability down the road is the cost

  • My Cons

I love my GLB but two months and ten days, after the purchase, the engine needed a repair which was covered by the warranty. However, we were planning a lengthy trip and was thankful this did not occur while we were a few thousand miles from home. Me and My Mercedes are still trying to figure our communication out. I prefer Waz or Google Maps to their GPS system. Advance notifications of turns and such are better. Other than these issues I love driving her, Gilby.

  • Overall Very Good

My only complaint is that the vehicle comes with run flat tires and no spare. The run flat tires don't allow for the best ride, but when it comes to everything else, the GLB is very good.

  • So Non Mercedes Benz - Benz

Ordered my GLB250 with all the right equipment - Spendy as my car topped out at over $52,000. Beautiful styling. I get compliments all the time - I had my car de-badged so there is an air of "What is it?" A few things I wish were standard equipment was the driver assist (radar based cruse control) and 360 camera system - all extra cost. The upgraded stereo was a must - I wish it had more low end sound. The Air Con seems weak - takes time to cool down on HOT days. My car is black with pano roof. I have a co worker who has a GLB and at less than 10,000 miles blown his cyl heads - OUCH $7,000 repair covered by warranty. Seems to be a common fault. The ride is graet - the milage is OK - I average around 21 in town and 30 on the highway. My previous GLA250 got excellent milage of 34 on the highway and 25 in town. I have the 7 passenger and love it - it is great for the kids 5.5 and under but it is not for adult seating. when not in use it has ample storage room. I have the Black w/ night package, advance lighting, pano roof, AMG styling package, Burmister stereo, Prem Package and the 19 inch 5 spoke AMG rims. Just a beautiful car with lots of curb appeal.

  • Won't start

The car will not start a lot of the time. I get in, push the starter button and it does not start, this is the 2nd Mercedes to do this. Very frustrating and it is for this reason that I would not recommend Mercedes Benz autos.

  • My FWD SUV is a smooth urban - city commuter

The GLB 250 is a solid modern stylish commuter. 7 passenger seating with generous legroom for driver and middle seats, the 3rd row seat is perfect for children 5'5" and shorter. When 3rd row is down the rear cargo space is just as roomy as its GLC sibling. The 2.0L 220HP turbine 4 cylinder powerplant and dual clutch transmission compliments each other so well on the road. Standard safety features on our base model is ample for our conservative leisure driving habits. Entertainment and state of the art MBUX information system is supported by 2 10.25 inch displays with 3 user friendly ways to view the driving, performance and entertainment via steering wheel controls, touch screens and center console controls. We opted for the no panoramic roof so we can enjoy our leisure travels supported by crossbars and a cargo box. Overall we love our chosen new Mercedes Benz.

  • "It's so Pretty "

Fantastic vehicle all around ! I enjoy being able to customize the interior. Very comfortable. For a smaller SUV I did not expect to have so much room, there is plenty of leg room for a six foot man to comfortably sit in the back seat.

  • Fun car, pricey options

I absolutely love this car but understand what people mean about the options being pricey. I have the FWD with AMG and Night packages added. The price came out to just under $50k. Some things I wish were included are navigation (although I use my phone and Apple car play but you can have fun with the Mercedes Me and Navigation), garage opener programmed and being able to unlock from the outside without using the key fob. Overall I’m still super happy as I got a great deal from my sales person that I couldn’t refuse. It’s fun to drive and handles well, I don’t have the 3rd row but like that I can adjust the back seats to make more keg room or more trunk space. I love that you can extend the front seats our for comfort and the seat kenetics when driving long distance is a cool feature and makes for a comfortable road trip. I love my panoramic sunroof and how one click will add or remove the cover for when the sun is a little too much. The steering wheel can look intimidating with all the buttons but is really easy to learn and understand. Wide angle back up camera makes reversing out of a parking spot easy since you can see what’s coming sooner than you would normally. I like that the gear shift is up by the steering wheel which makes for more room in the center area. MPG is also great, I mostly drive in my suburbs and average about 28mpg. I think most newer luxury cars have it, but coming from a 2016 Mazda CX-5 I think it’s weird that the engine will shut off when stopped at a red light or in traffic, I don’t see how this preserves has so I shut it off every time I start my car. Overall I’m happy with my purchase!
