Gas mileage less than expected

Great vehicle for multiple uses-on a date with wife, fishing, hauling wide items, picking up grand kids etc. Comfortable for hanging out with another adult couple

It's a Toyota, what do you expect?

Love this vehicle, I wanted something that could fit my entire family but I also wanted something that got great gas mileage. Highlander checks those boxes and then some.

Highlander is the Vehicle

Excellent vehicle overall for fun and family! The Highlander is a wonderful versatile vehicle that covers all your driving needs! It has it all from dependability, value, comfort and handling! This is not your mommy’s SUV.

Major design deficiencies

This car suffers from many unnecessary design flaws and defects compared to other manufacturers. E.G. 1. Car runs without key FOB and has NO warning sytem to prevent this. Total class action potential lawsuit esp.if it occurs in garage. 2 Still uses gas caps and buttons for fuel doors. 20th century stuff. 3. Auto braking sytem horrendous. 4. Auto lane change system terrible. 5. Headrests vertical only. 6. Door lock indicators unlit when needed to unlock doors. 7. No rear warning sounds on backup camera, only a red line. 8. Cannot remove Sirius radio system. 9. Low air on tires does not indicate which tire. 10. No tachometer. And I could go on. Do not consider this vehicle until you compare. I am just waiting for a decent SUV hybrid by another manufacturer.

Steady Eddie

What do you expect from an SUV? For my family, this car exceeds expectations. No car worth it’s weight is cheap, so for value this car exceeds. Newer safety features from previous models makes this exceed expectations. Mileage, comfort, cargo room meets my needs. If handling, performance, and amenities are your thing, find a Range Rover Sport, bring your checkbook, and enjoy!

I love Toyotas!

I've owned Toyotas for over 35 years. I have never had to have major repairs done for any of them, just routine maintenance. I kept one Carolla for 20 years and it still drove great! I've had my Highlander for 13 years and just bought a new one.

Toyota continues to earn our trust

Well designed for our needs. Excellent reliability record keeps us coming back to Toyota, now for our second Highlander. Looking forward to continue using Monken Toyota for Toyota purchases and maintenance.

NEEDS REMOTE START!

Leased a 2019 Toyota Highlander Limited Platinum. Great SUV, but needs remote start! 50K, I should not have to add it aftermarket! Seems the Highlander has it all, yet, it doesn’t. Very stylish and sporty! But, I will be going back to Ford after my lease, for the price, I can get a Ford with all the features plus more!!

Smooth

Have been a Tacoma and Outback driver the last 20 years. My First Highlander. It has the 2 Captains chairs in the back and V6 engine it is an ideal car for family traveling and errands in the city. It has great get up and go. No highway problems and the transmission shifts effortlessly. It really is like a larger Outback only with Toyota quality and engineering
