  • A step above

This vehicle is the ultimate combination of safety, luxury, style, and functionality. Every feature is clearly well thought out and engineered to be highly functional and comfortable with the only exception being the rear door locks. If you have a child who may have been blessed with an extra dash of spice, as my child once was, this feature could be a nightmare. On the rear doors there is a lock button feature which prohibits the rear doors from being opened from outside of the vehicle. Imagine going to the dentist with a defiant 5 year old who has figured out what that button does. That single odd feature aside, this car is a dream to drive. I traveled 7 hours through 4 states from the dealership to my home as this was the only dealership that has my dream car available and purchasing sight unseen was not appealing to me. Any long distance trip in the past has required stopping to stretch and walk to ease back pain every 90 to 120 minutes at the maximum and would still result in extreme back pain the next day. Not in this car. Seven hours. Two quick stops of five minutes or less to use restroom facilities and I was back on the road. I didn’t hurt. That was the best drive of my life. The seats are so perfectly ergonomically engineered that you are completely supported and comfortable. The dash features are equally impressive and the massive amount of technology at your fingertips is astonishingly user friendly. The car is also equipped with sun shades on both rear passenger windows as well as the rear view window. The rear view window is push button controlled from the driver console and the three screens used together provide an optimal shaded environment for tech use and children. The vehicle is perfect for my family of three as well as my commuter vehicle and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of the Volvo family. I’ll never own anything but in the future.

  • Tire pressure monitor is terrible.

The car drive decently, but depreciation is terrible. Value is 35% of purchase price. The tire low pressure monitor is always going off on all 4 wheels. Dealer is unable to fix this problem. It makes reliability poor. I keep a compressor and tie pressure monitor in the trunk. There is not a spare tire. Once I used the included inflator and had to buy a new tire and a new canister for over $500.00 combined. Cheaper to call a tow truck. Drive is a bit harsh and too much cabin noise. My wife drives a Subaru that cost less and is a much better, safer ride.

  • Safe, reliable and luxurious car

This is the best car I've ever had. I love the driver assist applications. The car is also very comfortable inside with lots of leg room front and back. The gas mileage is pretty good, not as good as my Hybrid, but an average of 30 mpg. I especially love the lights automatic dimmer from brights when other cars approach and that it resumes once they pass.

  • Sporty. Dont Be Mislead by Volvo name

This car was a big surprise. When most people think of Volvo they tend to think of a sleepy boring unenthusiastic drive. This was anything but that. While there is a plethora of intuitive safety features as there is on any car from this brand, This is not the Volvo from yesteryear. The engine provides a real punch, sporty leather seats and an engaging 'S' mode make for a great drive. While being so technologically advanced, it does take a significant amount of time to get used to the interior of the car and accommodate yourself with the infotainment system. Even the Dash display requires maneuvering through electronic menus just to pull up your odometer. The S60 requires Premium fuel and when you add on the T5 package on top of the Inscription trim you will be paying a sizable gas bill. The Volvo lacks no attention to craftsmanship even on the most seemingly minute of details such as the windshield washer fluid and angles of the jets ensuring full coverage of the glass. An entertaining car while still assuming Volvos classy understated manner.
