our expert's take

Vehicle Overview

Cadillac’s Escalade ESV offers more room for those who find the Escalade, a full-size SUV, just a bit too small. It is 14 inches longer in wheelbase and, at 222.9 inches overall, more than 20 inches longer than the regular Escalade. Third-row occupants benefit from increased legroom, and cargo capacity behind them nearly triples. With seating for seven or eight, the ESV competes with other luxury SUVs like the Lincoln Navigator L and Lexus LX 570.

The Escalade ESV is related to the Chevrolet Suburban and GMC Yukon XL, but it’s more luxurious. As with the regular-wheelbase Escalade, the Escalade ESV is available with rear- or all-wheel drive.

  • Spacious and comfy gas guzzler

The vehicle meets all needs in terms of space, style, comfort, interior and exterior design. Second and third row seating can be manipulated (third row can be removed) for additional storage capacity. Definitely a luxury brand that lives up to its reputation. It just drinks gas! Be prepared to refuel often if you do moderate amounts of driving (10 miles to and from work) at least once a week.

  • Cad Escalade AWD

This is the greatest all weather vehicle. A foot of snow does not slow it down. I do a lot of traveling, and I am not concerned about the weather. The amount of room is also great.
