Style and technology long have been Volvo hallmarks. The automaker doubled down for 2019 on both aspects in the redesigned S60 sedan, and it also added a couple firsts to the nameplate: Volvo will produce the S60 in its first U.S. manufacturing plant and offer the car through a Care by Volvo monthly subscription service.

The overhauled S60 comes in Momentum, R-Design and Inscription trims. A standard turbocharged four-cylinder (called T5) drives the front wheels, while a turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder (called T6) is optional; the latter pairs with all-wheel drive.

This car is fun to drive, comfortable, pleasing to look at and has quickly made itself my favorite. It has been many years since a car has made me want to go drive it. This one does.

  • S60 x3

This is my 3rd S60 and my 4th Volvo. I keep trying others, this time I test drove the Audi S5, and the Alfa Romeo Giula, but went back to the S60 once more. My wife drive the XC90. WE are definitely Volvo loyalist.

  • Volvos Ride Hard

I like this car it handles well but lacks sufficient wheel travel to soak up bumps in the road. In fact, sometimes it really pounds. This model is the S60 R Type and even my 2017 S60 Inscription, took the bumps as hard as this one does. It is just the characteristic of the car's suspension design. But other makes do it much better.

  • Love it ,Fast,quit, smooth.

Everything I was looking for in one car, I previously owned the s-90 which was to big. The s60 R is perfect size, ride and of course the stylish looks that made me by the s-90

  • New Generation S60 Similar in Size to S80

After 4 consecutive Volvo S80 sedans 2000, '05, '10, & '15 I became concerned when I received letter from Volvo announcing the upcoming S90 followed by a larger S60 a year or 2 later. I loved my S80 sedans & when I test drove the S90 I couldn't wait for the new S60 as the S90 was a boat when compared to the discontinued S80. I was able to get a '16 S80 but only with fwd as my '05, '10 & '15 were all T6 AWD sedans. I considered a '16 XC70 T5 AWD as its a S80 wagon but couldn't justify replacing our 3yr old 2013 XC90 with a '16 XC70. When my Syracuse NY Volvo dealer 200mi away called & said they were getting 8 S60 sedans in, they allowed me to reserve 2 of them as they called me before they ordered them to confirm my color preferences. Not having test driven either I was stuck between the R-design pkg & the Inscription pkg both with AWD. I ended up with both as our son graduated with his MBA from SU & we had promised he & his sister a new Volvo upon graduation with their masters. His sister has a 2017 S60 CC, & our son a '19 S60 R-design and I the '19 S60 T6 AWD Inscription. We won't be purchasing any vehicles in the future as I plan to retire 12/2022 after 35yrs in business banking and plan to lease my & my wife's vehicles for the 1st decade until we get to point and no longer need 2 vehicles. I have a 2010 Toyota Tacoma crew cab that was a repo from our retail loan dept with 85Kmi. I bought for the loan balance plus a small fee. I had the local Toyota dealer go through it and provide a estimate for all repairs and 4 new tires for the OEM alloy wheels I bought online @ finishline wheels where I purchase all OEM wheels for our vehicles unless we order the vehicle and can upgrade the wheels for under $1K. ***I love the new gen S60 as much as my S80 sedans but I will drive my '16 S80 as we drove it to Florida in January & are keeping it there in our garage of the winter home we will begin living in 5-6 months/ yr once I retire. My wife wants a convertible for her FL vehicle so we will have to wait and see.

  • Fantastic Car

I currently have a little over 3k miles on my S60 T5 (Didn't need AWD) R-Design and love it. I STILL look back at my car because the color and styling is so beautiful. Fast, sporty car to drive but since mine was lowered and has the 19' wheels it is stiffer. Still love it and am very happy with my purchase!

  • Most comfortable, luxurious car we have ever owned

I have a bad back and it is truly the most comfortable car I have ever driven. I love all of the safety features, technology, and the design. I also love the turbo engine that allows me to get up and go, and the AWD. I feel safe taking my grandchildren in this car.

  • Smoothest ride of any car I have owned.

The R-Design T5's drive is smooth and quiet. Sometimes it feels like it is driving itself. It is slightly pricey but the Harmon Kardon stereo upgrade somewhat makes up for this.
