Pump Problem Fuels Recall for 85,500 Volvo Sedans, Wagons, SUVs
Nearly a year on from its last major recall of note, Volvo is issuing another — this time less in sheer number but far more widespread among its vehicle roster. More than 85,500 sedans, wagons and SUVs are being recalled for a low-pressure fuel pump that can blow a fuse.

The issue affects model-year 2019-20 S60, S90 and S90L sedans; V60, V60 Cross Country, V90 and V90 Cross Country wagons; and XC60 and XC90 SUVs. If the low-pressure fuel pump blows a fuse and fails, it can cause a stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the fuse for free as a remedy, and Volvo will begin notifying owners Aug. 1. In the meantime, those with questions can call the automaker at 800-458-1552, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
