Toyota’s latest recall involves the engines in approximately 127,000 Toyota and Lexus vehicles, which may contain debris that could cause a loss of power.
Affected Toyota vehicles include model-year 2022-24 Tundra pickup trucks, and affected Lexus vehicles include model-year 2022-24 LX SUVs and model-year 2024 GX SUVs. Machining debris from production may not have been completely removed from the engine and may cause engine knocking, rough running, failure to start or a loss of motive power. A loss of motive power increases the risk of a crash.
Toyota doesn’t have a remedy for the issue at this time and will notify owners by early January 2026. Those with further questions can contact Toyota at 800-331-4331, Lexus at 800-255-3987, visit Toyota.com/recall, call the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more.
