The Rapide S, formerly known as just Rapide, is a member of the ultra-luxury-sedan class. These models are typically priced higher than the most expensive cars from mass-market luxury brands like Mercedes-Benz and BMW and include the likes of the Bentley Continental Flying Spur, Porsche Panamera and Maserati Quattroporte. The Rapide S is powered by a V-12 engine and has seating for four. New for 2014 Along with the extra letter at the end of its name the Rapide S features a more powerful V-12 engine that makes 550 horsepower and 457 pounds-feet of torque. The front end is bolder with a large, single aluminum grille that replaces its predecessor’s upper and lower grille design, and the rear deck lid features a new lip design for enhanced aerodynamics. There’s also more sound-deadening material for a quieter cabin. Exterior Highlights
