Infiniti is swapping alphanumeric model designations across its lineup — all cars now have a Q prefix and all SUVs a QX prefix. That means the sedans formerly known as the M37, M56 and M35h — or collectively simply as M — are now lumped under the Q70 moniker. Competitors include the BMW 5 Series, Lexus GS and Audi A6.
On the new lineup card, the M37 is now the Q70 3.7 and the M56 is the Q70 5.6, and both are available with rear- or all-wheel drive. The M35h is now the Q70 Hybrid and is available only with rear-wheel drive.

Q70 Hybrid Formerly known as the M35h, Infiniti’s first hybrid sedan is rebadged as the Q70 Hybrid for 2014 and returns with a 3.5-liter V-6 engine, a 50-kilowatt electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack behind the rear seat. The engine and motor combine for 360 hp, and power is delivered to the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission. Like other Q70 models, the Hybrid requires premium gas.
