Porsche’s best-selling vehicle is getting a powertrain update, more standard features and a hefty price hike for 2015. The automaker is swapping a V-8 for a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V-6 in its 2015 Cayenne GTS; base models will continue to use the 300-hp, 3.6-liter V-6 but swap the six-speed manual for a standard eight-speed automatic with auto stop-start.

Compared with the previous GTS, power output from the new V-6 is up by 20 hp to 440 hp and torque by 62 pounds-feet to 445 pounds-feet. Porsche says fuel consumption is reduced but did not provide fuel economy estimates. The automaker also says those worried about losing the V-8’s “characteristically GTS sound” shouldn’t be thanks to a standard sport exhaust system.

Other new standards across the Cayenne lineup include bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and a multifunction sport steering wheel with paddle shifters. GTS trims add a revised front end borrowed from the sportier looking Turbo model, red brake calipers, 20-inch Spyder wheels and GTS badging.
