The FR-S is the sportiest vehicle in the Scion lineup. It’s a lightweight, rear-wheel-drive coupe built with balance and maneuverability in mind. The four-cylinder sports coupe is a spiritual successor to small performance cars offered by Toyota, Scion’s parent company, in the 1980s. The FR-S competes in the same space as the Hyundai Genesis coupe, Mazda MX-5 Miata and the FR-S’ nearly identical twin, the Subaru BRZ. New for 2015 Scion has made the front suspension more rigid and retuned the rear shocks in an effort to reduce body roll. The pole antenna has been replaced by a “shark fin” antenna, and larger exhaust tips are flusher with the bumper.
