CARS.COM

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 14,200 model-year 2016-18 Infinti Q50 sedans and model-year 2017 Q60 coupes, all equipped with a 2.0-liter engine

The Problem: Incorrect fuel pump control module software may allow the fuel level in the main tank to be too low to supply fuel to the engine, causing it to stall while the vehicle is in motion and increasing the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will reprogram the fuel pump control module with corrected software for free.

What Owners Should Do: Infiniti manufacturer Nissan will begin notifying owners Aug. 21. Owners can call Infiniti at 800-662-6200, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit www.safercar.gov to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
