Here’s info on the regular A3: Audi redesigned the subcompact A3 line last year, replacing the previous generation hatchback with sedan and convertible body styles while adding a performance-oriented S3 sedan model. Engine choices include turbocharged 1.8- and 2.0-liter gas four-cylinders and, for the A3 sedan, a turbocharged 2.0-liter diesel. Both body styles are available with front- or all-wheel drive. Competitors include the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class, Acura ILX and BMW 2 Series.
