Jaguar’s F-Type enters 2016 with newly available all-wheel drive, additional standard features and a much-anticipated manual transmission, but it doesn’t stop there. The 2016 Jaguar F-Type’s warranty and scheduled maintenance coverage has increased to segment-leading terms, according to Jaguar, while the 2016’s pricing aims to ramp up the F-Type’s value equation.

The new vehicle limited warranty, complimentary scheduled maintenance and 24/7 roadside assistance share five years or 60,000 miles worth of coverage, plus Jaguar is throwing in five years of Jaguar’s InControl Connected Car service for multimedia and emergency services. Jaguar’s 2015 F-Type came with a four-year/50,000-mile term for the new vehicle limited warranty and roadside assistance, and only the first scheduled maintenance service was complimentary. Porsche’s new vehicle warranty and roadside assistance is four years or 50,000 miles and doesn’t include complimentary maintenance.

Pricing increases $1,300-$1,800 between comparable 2015 models with the new standard features and longer coverage, though base pricing is virtually unchanged at $65,995, with a $995 destination fee for a six-speed manual transmission model; 2015’s standard transmission was an eight-speed automatic.

The 2016 F-Type’s standard feature set increases with a 770-watt Meridian sound system (previously the range-topping system), smart keyless access, 14-way power adjustable seats and a panoramic moonroof. The new features are a notable set at virtually no price increase as long as you’re willing to row your own gears. Jaguar’s base F-Type with a 340-horsepower, supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 and rear-wheel drive is the only version with manual transmission. A base F-Type coupe with an eight-speed automatic transmission is now $67,295, up from $65,925 in 2015.

F-type S and R models receive their own newly standard equipment in addition to the base features with the 380-hp, supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 S getting a driver-selectable exhaust, dynamic driving mode and flat-bottom steering wheel. F-Type S models with all-wheel drive are $6,000 pricier than their rear-wheel-drive counterparts. The 550-hp, supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 F-Type R hits the ground running with standard all-wheel drive, a power liftgate and an exclusive aero package.
