CARS.COM

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 300 model-year 2016 Mercedes-Benz Metris vans

The Problem: The front seat belt pretensioners may not function properly in a crash, leaving occupants inadequately restrained and increasing the risk of an injury.

The Fix: Dealers will replace the front seat belts for free.

What Owners Should Do: Daimler Vans will begin notifying owners in June. Owners can call the automaker at 877-762-8267, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit www.safercar.gov to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
