CARS.COM — Unlike many cars that start out as outrageous concepts but water down all the cool stuff for production, the Acura NSX stayed true to the exotic original. The 2017 version of the mid-engine high-performance coupe, on view at the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, is characterized by gaping inlets, multi-element headlights and forked-tongue five-spoke wheels; it wears a “Star Trek” Starfleet-insignia-like version of Acura’s emblem.
The interior, meanwhile, has all the racetrack cues: bolstered sport seats cloaked in red-on-red stitched leather and contrast-stitched black suede, a handcrafted leather dash panel, a flat-bottom sport steering wheel, black suede door panels and myriad carbon-fiber flourishes.
