CARS.COM — With Audi choosing to focus on updated powertrains and a significant weight reduction for the 2017 A4, the luxury sedan’s exterior styling changes are subtle. Following the lead of the 2016 A6, the new A4, which had its U.S. debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, gets a widened grille, as well as jagged, gently upswept headlights and cricket-bat-shaped taillights that give the sedan a more cynical demeanor.
Changes are far more evident on the inside, however, with expanded space and upgraded materials and controls. Air vents extending the length of the dashboard accentuate the dash’s horizontal redesign, while an optional digital gauge cluster displays the navigation screen directly in front of the driver.
