The 540-horsepower, 5.2-liter 10-cylinder Audi R8 supercar — more popularly known as billionaire Tony Stark’s ride in the “Iron Man” and “Avengers” movies — landed in 2017 form at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show. For those still in love with the R8’s head-turning looks, fear not; beyond its newly widened track, the refresh amounts to nips and tucks as opposed to major cosmetic surgery.
Some notable exceptions to this are on the front end, where both the grille and large inlets under the headlights lose their old horizontal slats, filling in the gaps with a chain-link mesh, as well as new vertical slats for the inlets. Inside the cockpit is a dark- and light-gray color scheme with white contrast stitching on the deeply bolstered leather sport seats.
