CARS.COM — The redesigned-for-2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class resembles a bigger, more boatlike version of the C-Class — and it is bigger indeed. The luxury sedan, now making its debut at the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, is nearly 2 inches longer than the previous version. The front end of the Luxury trim wears an expansive grille and a Mercedes hood ornament, while character lines add definition to the profile, one spanning the upper portion from the taillights through the door handles, and another below running from the rear bumper to the front wheel.
Inside, the front seats are covered in perforated leather with an elegant quilted design. The steering wheel also is wrapped in perforated leather and the dashboard gets sophisticated-looking stitching. Carbon-fiber flourishes further add to the high-grade look of the cabin, while a wide, 12.3-inch multimedia screen dominates the top of the center stack.
