2018 Infiniti Q50 Gets Small Updates, Small Price Hike

CARS.COM — Infiniti has announced prices for the refreshed Q50. The sports sedan now starts at $35,105, including a $905 destination charge, for the entry model with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder. That’s an increase of $250 versus the 2017 Q50 base model’s price.

The Q50 gets exterior and interior tweaks along with a revised trim lineup and new global naming structure of Pure, Luxe, Sport and Red Sport 400. A total of 12 configurations are offered, with four powertrains.

In addition to the 208-horsepower, turbo 2.0-liter, the powertrains include 300-hp and 400-hp, twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engines, and a 3.5-liter V-6 gasoline-electric hybrid putting out a combined 360 hp. A seven-speed transmission with paddle shifters is standard on all models, as is a selectable driving mode system. Rear-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is available on all trims with all powertrains for an additional $2,000.

Pricing with destination for rear-wheel-drive models is as follows:

  • Pure with turbo 2.0-liter: $35,105
  • Luxe with turbo 2.0-liter: $37,455
  • Luxe with 300-hp, twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6: $39,855
  • Sport with 300-hp, twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6: $41,555
  • Red Sport 400 with 400-hp, twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6: $51,905
  • Luxe 3.5-liter V-6 gas-electric hybrid: $51,505
