2021 Mercedes-AMG GLE63 S Coupe: Less Roofline, More Bottom Line

Mercedes-AMG’s large, glitzy SUV “coupe,” the 2021 GLE63 S Coupe, has bling to spare and a price tag to match — starting at $117,050 (all prices include a destination charge), slightly more than its “SUV” sibling.

The GLE63 S coupe was last available for the 2019 model year, and is back for 2021 with the same updates for it as well as its more traditional, SUV-styled sibling, the 2021 Mercedes-AMG GLE63 S SUV (which starts at $114,945).
Power for the GLE63 S coupe comes from a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 with Mercedes’ mild-hybrid 48-volt EQ Boost system. It makes 603 horsepower and 627 pounds-feet of torque, and uses a cylinder-deactivation and stop-start system to help save fuel. Mercedes says it’ll rocket from 0-60 mph in only 3.7 seconds.
Inside, it uses the latest version of the Mercedes-Benz User Experience multimedia system with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster next to a 12.3-inch central touchscreen; the system features tech extras like an augmented reality display for the navigation system, and the voice-activated “Hey Mercedes” voice command and concierge system.
The 2021 Mercedes-AMG GLE63 S Coupe will go on sale in late 2020.
