An issue with the rearview camera has prompted Nissan to recall more than 60,000 vehicles, including its Armada full-size SUV, Murano mid-size SUV and Infiniti QX80 full-size SUV (Infiniti is Nissan’s luxury arm).
Affected vehicles include model-year 2025 Armadas and Muranos and model-year 2025-26 QX80s. A software error in the In-Vehicle Infotainment system at vehicle startup may cause the rearview camera image not to display when the vehicle is in Reverse, decreasing driver visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.
To resolve the issue, the system will be updated by a dealer or via an over-the-air update for free. Nissan will notify owners by Jan. 9, 2026, but those with further questions can contact Nissan at 800-647-7261 or Infiniti at 800-662-6200 (Nissan’s numbers for this recall are R25D6, R25D5 and R25D7), call the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more.
