All the Pickup Truck News: 2021 Chevy Colorado, Ram EcoDiesel MPG, Dirt on the 2020 Tacoma and More
The year 2021 (one that has not happened yet but allegedly will) means new things for the Chevrolet Colorado mid-size pickup truck. But not too many new things, at least as far as we know. Most of the currently announced changes to the 2021 Colorado — which tops our roundup of truck news this week — are cosmetic ones aimed at making the various trim levels more visually distinct from one another.

Shop the 2019 Chevrolet Colorado near you
New grille and lower bumper designs are the chief updates to the front; Work Truck and LT trims will wear a gold Chevrolet bow tie, while Z71 models will get a black one. The ZR2 off-road model gets an all-black grille with flow-through Chevrolet lettering. In back, the various models get a new tailgate with an embossed “Chevrolet.”
Will the Colorado get interior updates, or a new powertrain, or cool new tech? Those are three areas where we think the Colorado — and its sibling, the GMC Canyon — could use some significant updates. So far, however, Chevrolet is mum on any changes to the Colorado beyond these very mild aesthetic updates.
