We’ve seen White Diamond Edition models from General Motors before on the Chevrolet Suburban, but we haven’t seen anything featuring the color black. In spring, we will get a black tri-coat-painted CTS-V sedan, coupe and wagon, which Cadillac is calling the Black Diamond Edition trim.
Like the Suburban, the trim is mainly an appearance package. The black paint is the biggest deal here: there are small aluminum flakes in it that give the car a sparkly look.
In addition to the paint, there are special 19-inch wheels with Brembo brake calipers that are painted yellow.
On the inside, there are black Recaro seats with yellow suede inserts. The rest of the car is pretty much stock CTS-V and features the same 556-horsepower, supercharged V-8 engine.
The model will have a $4,850 premium over the base CTS-V when it goes on sale in March; it costs $69,190 for the manual-equipped or $70,490 for the automatic.
