There aren’t a lot of options in the 30-plus-mpg/under-$30,000 hybrid SUV market. Actually, just the Ford Escape Hybrid and the Mercury Mariner Hybrid fit the bill. Kelsey Mays put a front-wheel-drive Mariner through its green paces and came away with mixed feelings.
