Chrysler Reveals Next-Gen Pacifica
What Shoppers Need to Know
- Chrysler previewed a redesign of its Pacifica minivan in a Facebook post Wednesday.
- The dramatic redesign comes six years after the van was last refreshed.
It’s not often that Chrysler is in the news — given the brand sells two versions of the same minivan in the Pacifica and Voyager, there hasn’t been much to report on recently. Things changed Wednesday, however, as the brand quietly revealed a redesign of the Pacifica in an unexpected place: Facebook.
More Rugged Look
From the looks of things, Chrysler has given the front end a drastic, more rugged look for what may be the 2027 Pacifica. Things start up top where a small grille is intersected by what looks to be a lighted panel featuring Chrysler’s winged badge, which also appears to light up. Flanking the small grille are LED running lamps and large lower headlights, both of which flow in an upside-down “L” shape into the lower bumper. There they sit beside a larger lower grille opening. It’s a dramatic departure from the Pacifica we know, which hasn’t seen a refresh since the 2021 model year, and also a dramatic departure from Chrysler’s own design language the last decade or so.
There are more than a few things we don’t know about this new Pacifica, however. Chrysler didn’t say much of anything about the design, only captioning the Facebook post, “Some things refuse to stay undercover.” Chrysler also didn’t show off any other parts of the vehicle, specifically the rear, so we don’t know if that has received a redesign, as well. But from the looks of things, the side of the Pacifica looks the same.
We reached out to Chrysler for comment on more details of the new Pacifica. The response we received said, “Chrysler CEO Chris Feuell has said that Chrysler will introduce a refreshed Chrysler Pacifica this year. America’s bestselling and most awarded minivan reinforces the brand’s long-standing leadership in the segment it invented.”
At this time, we don’t know if there are any new engines on the horizon or if the current powertrain lineup will carry over. With this presumably being a redesign for the 2027 model year, we’d expect the new Pacifica should go on sale sometime later this year.
