Google to Help Lost Men at the Pump

There’s a terrible stereotype out there that men won’t ask for directions. Well, Google is looking to help the directionally challenged of either gender by dispensing directions at gas station pumps, pointing them to landmarks, hotels, restaurants and other points of interest.

Once you’ve found what you’re looking for using a Google-based interface, the pump will print out directions. The service will start with 3,500 pumps, based on retailer demand.

This answers the question of how you get men to ask for directions: Use a fancy gadget.
