The restyled Hyundai Elantra GT is a good example of how a relatively small styling change can have a big impact on a car’s appearance. The 2016 hatchback’s new grille uses the same space as the one that was there before, but the new design is bolder yet works with the car’s lines. This is still the sleek, sporty-looking hatchback you know.
The cabin layout carries over relatively unchanged, but the Elantra GT’s classed-up materials and finishes still impress for 2016. The newly available multimedia system has crisp graphics that look sharp.

The 2016 Elantra GT should be available at a Hyundai dealership near you in March, and its $19,625 starting price, including a destination fee, is the same as that of its predecessor. If you like the new grille, there are enough other changes to make the car worth the short wait. If you don’t, there are still nearly 4,000 versions of the existing Elantra GT in Cars.com’s new-car inventory.
