A rear-wheel-drive coupe joined the Jaguar F-Type convertible lineup for model-year 2015, and Jaguar is further expanding its F-Type coupe offerings for 2016 with a new all-wheel-drive model. Jaguar says the 2016 F-Type R coupe with all-wheel drive can reach 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and is limited to a top speed of 186 mph.
According to the automaker, the addition of all-wheel drive is only one of a number of performance enhancements to the coupe; more details will be released at the Jaguar-Land Rover press conference on Nov. 19 at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. Land Rover also plans to bring its new Discovery Sport to L.A.; the compact SUV will replace the LR2 in Land Rover’s lineup and slot just below the larger LR4.
