Jeep Gives 2021 Cherokee More Latitude With Latitude Lux Trim
Broadening shoppers’ horizons in the 2021 Cherokee lineup, Jeep is introducing the Latitude Lux trim that slots above the Latitude and Latitude Plus and below the Trailhawk and Limited. As the name implies, the Latitude Lux adds more luxurious features to the middle of the Cherokee lineup at what Jeep hopes buyers will agree is a reasonable price.

Standard Features
Latitude Lux models come standard with Jeep’s 3.2-liter V-6, producing 271 horsepower and 239 pounds-feet of torque. A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 270 hp and 295 pounds-feet is optional. Both are paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
Standard premium interior amenities include Nappa leather upholstery, heated front seats and steering wheel, power front seat adjustment with power lumbar adjustment, remote start and windshield-wiper de-icers.
Among the standard safety features on the Latitude Lux are forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning with lane keep assist, rear parking sensors and rain-sensing wipers, and LED headlights, taillights and foglights.
Options
Besides the turbocharged four-cylinder engine we’ve already mentioned, upgrades on the Latitude Lux are broken into three option packages:
1. Comfort and Convenience Group
This package upgrades the infotainment display from 7 inches to 8.4, adds a 7-inch configurable instrument display instead of the standard 3.5-inch display, and also adds dual-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a power liftgate, a 115-volt power outlet and a security alarm.
2. Sun and Sound Group
This package adds a dual-pane panoramic sunroof and premium nine-speaker Alpine stereo.
3. Trailer Tow Group
Only available on 4×4 models, the Trailer Tow Group adds enhanced engine cooling and an additional transmission oil cooler, trailer hitch receiver, four- and seven-pin wiring harness, and a full-size spare tire.
Pricing and Availability
The front-wheel-drive Cherokee Latitude Lux will have a starting price of $31,640, while the four-wheel-drive version starts at $1,500 more, at $33,140. (Both prices include a $1,495 destination fee). Both are on sale now.
