Porsche announced plans to bring the Cayenne Turbo S to next week’s 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. A range-topping variant of the Cayenne, the Turbo S has been absent from the lineup since the end of the prior generation in 2010. Its successor arrives for the 2014 model year with a 550-horsepower, twin-turbo V-8.
Power hits the ground through torque-vectoring all-wheel drive, and the Turbo S gets to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds — as quick as a 911 Carrera S — on its way to a top speed of 175 mph.
