If you come to the Chicago Auto Show every year, make sure you pick up a map when you walk through the gates of the 2008 edition — things have changed. The biggest change is that all the GM divisions — Chevy, GMC, Pontiac, Buick, Hummer, Saturn, Saab and Cadillac — are now in the north hall. That forces Lexus, VW, Porsche and others into the south hall.
The move is a good one, giving more substance to the north hall and more variety to the south. It also makes for a more compelling reason for patrons to go to both halls; they can’t write off the north hall as a luxury car pen any longer. Check out the Chicago Auto Show’s very well done interactive map to get a lay of the land before you head down. Chicago Auto Show Official Webpage
