It’s clear from the videos that the next-generation Pathfinder will retain its rugged looks yet add more fluid lines and chrome exterior trim. The look is less truck, more crossover.
So far, we know it will reprise the current version’s seven-passenger seating setup and will continue to offer all-wheel drive. The current Pathfinder rides on a traditional body-on-frame SUV platform, which the new version will ditch. We’re assuming the new Pathfinder will be closely related to the 2013 Infiniti JX, the luxury brand’s new seven-passenger crossover.
Nissan also plans to unveil an electric van concept at the show. Check back for more information after both concepts debut on Monday as well as complete coverage of the 2012 Detroit auto show.
