“We purchased our eighth Subaru, the 2010 Outback Limited, with a home link self-dimming mirror, media hub, remote start and other options.

“On our first trip we averaged 34.2 mpg, and in mixed driving conditions we are getting 25.9 mpg. It is a lot larger than the previous Outbacks, gives a smooth and quiet ride, handles fine and has enough get-up-and-go for the normal driver.

“I like the CVT transmission and it is smooth and works well. The paddle shifters with six pre-selected gear ratios are fun to operate and will be handy when you need some extra power going up steep inclines.

“The interior has good fit and finish. I would prefer the lighter carpet to match the light interior as I find the charcoal shows just as much dirt if not more than the lighter color (warm ivory).

“I would like to see the folding side mirrors come back and add the panoramic sun roof and the temp gauges. Also, why not give a choice of interior colors with all of the outside colors?

“The 440-watt Harmon Kardon stereo with the nine speakers, including a subwoofer, sounds great and works well with the media hub. This is a nice feature. I have found that the car will pick up your cell phone over 30 feet away from the car.

“All in all, it seems to be a great car for the short amount of time I have owned it. For the money you can’t find a car with the same AWD system and the features.”
