Dodger from Buffalo, N.Y., traded in his old Ford Fusion for a new Dodge Avenger, mainly because the Dodge’s styling caught his eye. Beside its looks, Dodger likes the refinements in the 2011 Avenger compared with the 2010 he’s experienced. The engine is more refined, but he wishes the vehicle still had an all-wheel-drive option. Continue reading Dodger’s review below. If you want to share your own opinion about your car, you can do that here.

“So tired of cookie-cutter designs. The 2011 Dodge Avenger is uniquely styled and greatly improved in every regard over the ’10 model we test drove. It is very roomy. Has loads of standard equipment and is fun to drive. The Pentastar V-6 is fast, fuel efficient and quiet. The car has a lot of room and the interior materials are class leaders for ’11.

“The exterior has perfect fit and finish, as does the cabin. The truck is well-finished and can swallow a lot of luggage and a couple of golf bags to boot. Dodge has done its homework. The remote start, newly added for ’11, is awesome and surprising for a midsize compact at this highly reasonable price. The car has every bell and whistle, including the finest grade leather in its class and a large sunroof. It features an easy-to-use navigation system (with large screen) and stellar stereo/entertainment system. The dealer gave us more than we had expected for our Ford Fusion trade. We enjoyed the Fusion, but after owning a reliable, trouble-free Dodge Grand Caravan (as our primary vehicle) and loving that, we decided to buy another Chrysler product. Plus, the Avenger has an attractive, bold look that’s lacking on more mainstream sedans. The Avenger is solid, has a nice ride and is a refreshing change from more mundane midsize vehicles. It handles like a sports car and is more comfortable than our previous Ford. Gas mileage is about 32 mpg with mixed driving. The only thing I wish for is a return to the Avenger’s all-wheel-drive system as an option; however, the front-wheel drive is sufficient in Buffalo during wintertime.”
