CARS.COM — The C-HR is returning to the Los Angeles Auto Show, but this time it’ll wear a Toyota badge, the automaker announced today. First seen at the 2015 L.A. auto show as the Scion C-HR concept, Toyota teased a photo of the 2018 C-HR’s angular taillight, which looks to take styling cues from the Scion concept.
Calling it a compact crossover, Toyota said the C-HR, which in concept form stood for Compact size and High Ride height, will make its auto-show debut on Nov. 17 during the final media day.
The Scion concept stood out at the 2015 L.A. auto show with its squat stature and creased lines. There’s no word on how closely the Toyota production model will follow the concept. In February, Toyota announced it would shutter its struggling Scion brand and bring several models — Scion’s FRS, iA and iM as well as the C-HR concept — into its lineup.
We’ll be at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show’s press days on Nov. 16 and 17 covering the C-HR and all the debuts.
