I went to Anaheim Hyundai based on an advertised price for a Kona. After test driving and agreeing to purchase, I was told there were an additional $7,000 in so-called “optional dealer upgrades.” Let me be clear, these were not optional to the buyer. The advertising was misleading, and I felt pressured to move forward because I urgently needed a car. On top of that, they said they couldn’t locate the second key or the owner’s manual but would send them to me. After months of texting and calling, the salesperson finally told me I’d have to pay to have a key made myself,around $450. I escalated to the sales manager, who promised to look into it, but I never heard back. If you choose to buy here, do not take anything at face value, get every promise in writing. It’s frustrating to spend this kind of money and not even get a basic second key, something that should have been a simple process through their service department. Buyer beware: this dealership does not stand behind their word.

I leased Hyundai Ioniq 5 and returned my prior vehicle,
I leased Hyundai Ioniq 5 and returned my prior vehicle, ioniq 6 on 7/20/25. Dealer / sales person agreed to pay my last month due for ioniq6 if I lease a new car with them. I leased new ioniq5 there on the same day. I got 8dollar discount on my monthly due. I asked the sales person if the amount is the final monthly amount after tax and any fees, he said yes the amount is the final amount including taxes and fees. I signed the lease agreement that shows the same amount that we agreed on and paid $3000 drive off amount. When I got my first bill in the mail, the monthly amount was not what we agreed. It was more than what was on the lease agreement that we signed. I called Hyundai financing, they said it is tax rate that caused the change, and the financing wouldn't know when we sign the contract until I get the bill. But it is a common sense that the drive off amount includes the first installment amount. Because you paid the amount in lump sum you won't know how much first installment was actually charged with the drive off. The customer service transferred me to the back office and the guy said the same thing. He said to take it to the dealer to find out what happened. I called the dealer and the operator put me to the financing dept when I asked for the sales person (I already deleted the sales person contact not knowing this would happen). The financing never answered the phone. I had to hung up and call the dealer again to be put through to the financing again. I did this about 4-5times but failed to talk to anybody. I decided to personally visit the dealer on the weekend and when I get there the same salesperson was there. I told him the story He didn't even bother to say sorry. He tried to find out what happended but came back and said it is what it is 🤷♂️. I tried to have him solve this problem because I wouldn't have leased the car with the amount that I was billed with. The manager walked by and asked if I needed any help. I explained. He offered to give us free charging access to their charger at the dealer. I remembered the sales person told us it would take 6hours to fully charge a vehicle there. I refused. The manager offered to write us a check in the amount of the differences. I took the offer. It was on an weekend. They said the accounting will be in the office on Monday and they will follow up with them and let me know. It is now Thursday. They waited until I contacted the sales person to follow up. I still have not received the check after a week. I also received a payment confirmation for the monthly payment on the prior vehicle, ioniq6. It was supposed to be closed when I returned the car to the dealer when I leased the new vehicle. Apparently the payment was not made by the dealer and the account was not closed properly. I had to call the financing company and my bank to dispute the payment. The dealer's poor service and unprofessionally handled matter made me waste my time and money. Also charging money not letting me know and made me sign the contract is breach of contract.

Sorry to hear that Hyundai Motor Finance did not provide you with a better explanation in regards to the tax difference error happening on your account, which is stated in Section 14 of your lease agreement. HMF is a nationwide finance provider that uses one standardized lease contract that is utilized in all 50 states, all of which have different laws, rules, and regulations for how they calculate and assess sales tax. Due to this, sometimes our lease payments will differ from what you signed vs the final bill Hyundai sends you once your lease has been funded with the lender. Despite this provision being in your lease contract, we did agree to refund you the difference in your payment, which is $2.86 per month over your lease term. We apologize for the delay in getting this check cut for you since you came over the weekend, and our business office is not open. Our check signer had a family emergency and was out for most of the week as well. Your check has been cut, signed, and is ready for pickup as per the communication we sent earlier today (814/25), and once again, sorry for the delay in not getting this handled in a timely manner you find appropriate.

Reached out for an out the door quote and the salesperson just referred me to their website which wasn't helpful at all. Then general sales manager reached out to me and was very pushy in trying to get me to come in and when I asked him to give me a quote, he wouldn't give me one either and told me a quote I got from another dealership was wrong. Then when I bought from the other dealership he assumed I got a different color and that they sold me an "old unit" when I was buying the current year model

Based on other quotes I have received, I asked him if he was willing to do better. Instead of providing a quote, he said I should go buy it from whoever offered that price. And I did just that. I went ahead and bought the Ioniq 9 from their competitor.
