Sloppy and unprofessional -wasted 5 hrs of my time
I contacted Nye Motor Company on a Saturday regarding a Ford F350 I was very interested in buying. They are located 2+ hours from my home and they close at 3 pm on Saturday. By the time they got back to me it was too late for me to get to Lancaster before 3 pm, no one was willing to stay late to help. They are closed on Sunday so I made plans to see the car Monday after work. I called Nye at 11:30 AM and was told the F350 was still available, I asked if they would please call me if it sold and said I would be driving up after work. I also emailed "Brian" whom I had spoken with on Saturday and told him I was coming to see the truck, and to let me know if it was not available. We drove from west of Baltimore through torrential rain and rush hour traffic to arrive in time to see the truck. When I introduced myself, I was told the truck had been sold first thing in the morning to a buyer who was waiting when their doors opened. Someone was supposed to call me but I had received no phone calls or messages. Very sloppy, poor customer service. Huge waste of my time which seemed to matter little to the people I dealt with.

This customer called at 1:45pm on Saturday afternoon, which would not have left her enough time to make it by 3:00pm(closing time) even if she left right after her first phone call. Because as she explained she had a 2+ hour drive. We checked with all the sales staff to see if someone would be able to stay late if she were to come. Unfortunately, all the sales staff had plans for the weekend and could not stay after our closing time. The F350 was sold to another customer who looked at the truck the previous Friday, and decided to make the purchase on Monday. Without money down we do not hold vehicles for people. This is a common business practice for car dealerships. The email she sent to Brian was not answered promptly because, email's do not always get responded to right away. This especially happens when we are busy with customers, which we were on this day. Also, not all sales staff are in every day to answer emails that are sent specifically for them. This holds true for all businesses. We did in fact call her to let her know the truck was sold. She even confirmed this when she looked at her missed calls in the showroom and asked us if we were 717-665-7400. That is our number, and we did call to notify her. We left a voice message as well. We strive to provide our customers with the best service that can be offered in the automotive industry. This is evident by looking through all our feedback to see that we are satisfying customers on a daily basis with excellent customer service. We also have a very large number of repeat business, and a great reputation of making customers feel at ease in a low pressure buying environment.
Bought a used van - excellent company
I really appreciated the low pressure atmosphere and the respect I was given. The customer care was really good. They are very easy to work with and have good inventory and good prices. Next time I look for a vehicle I will start here.

Wonderful buying experience!!!
I was very impressed with the facility and the service that I received. Everyone was VERY friendly, not pushy and so helpful. I appreciated so much that everyone was just so helpful, worked with me and gave me the numbers and paperwork right up front. This is not the experience that I had elsewhere. I would recommend this dealership to anyone and will refer anyone looking for a vehicle to Nye's!

Very helpful and polite
Our sales person was very helpful as soon as I came in the door even though he was the only one here he was able to work with all the customers at a timely manner I would recommend anyone we have bought our dream car and we would like to thank our sales rep and the company for everything this was a great experience and we will be back and we will also recommend this company thank you

He gave us as much time as needed and was very knowledgeable when we had questions. As promised all paperwork was ready for when we went back for the vehicle which saved a lot of time.
