Fairey Chevrolet

This is our second automobile purchase with Ty at Fairey Automotive. We have never had an easier and more pleasant car purchasing experience. We did much of the preliminary work over the phone, so that when we came to pick up the car it was a matter of signing a few papers and driving away with our new 2017 Chevy Tahoe. I will happily recommend Ty and Fairey Automotive to friends and family and will certainly use them on any future car purchases!

I not only drove a few extra miles to get the car of my choice, but also the people at Fairey Chevrolet Cadillac went the extra mile to make sure I was happy. I specifically worked with Ty, who updated me each day during my car buying process (even if he just called to say they were still working on finding my perfect car). When I stepped into the dealership to pick up my car, I was immediately greeted by Joseph Fairey who talked to me and showed me the car while Ty finished with another client. They make you feel like they truly appreciate your business and do everything possible to make the experience pleasurable. I can't say enough about the exemplary level of service I received from the onset to the final transaction.

I recommend anyone looking for a used car that is able to get to Orangeburg, SC give Fairey a chance! I was given honest, upfront information and they went beyond expectation to make sure I had a good car buying experience. I was shopping the entire southeast for a used vehicle, and tried the listing I found from Fairey Chevrolet because it was less than an hour drive from where I live. Ty setup a test drive on a Saturday morning, gave me a detailed vehicle history (including the fact that CarFax listed an accident), and a best price offer right up front. Since I wanted to take it to my mechanic, Ty offered an extended test drive so I could take it home til Monday. My mechanic found a few items needing repair, and Ty immediately told me they would make the vehicle right. They put it in the dealer's service center and told me it would be ready by Friday. I got a call Friday that they finished but found another repair item when they drove it, so parts were ordered. After that repair, they drove one more time and decided a worn mount needed to be replaced. When I came to do a final test drive and sign paperwork (I still hadn't officially bought the car) I asked for the service records. I was suspicious of being asked to pay for extra repairs, but was pleasantly surprised when the invoice for over $1400 showed $0 balance. There was no attempt to renegotiate, just signing off on the original price (which was already very competitive). I am going to call Fairey first the next time I'm looking to buy a car.

I had been to several other dealerships with very little help or response back. I had called Ty Merritt on another occasion regarding a vehicle they had, but it had been sold prior to my being able to get to Orangeburg. Ty took the time to call me and let me know before I made the trip over to see but also wanted to help me when something came available that met my needs. I indicated to Ty that I would look around and get back to him at a later date. I called Ty later and discussed a vehicle he had on site and we talked price and it was out of the budget I had. Ty indicated that he thought he could help me find what would fit my needs with a vehicle they had just taken in. This prove to be what I was looking for and met all my needs. Ty is not your typical car salesman, he's very straight forward and honest and doesn't try to pressure you. This was an effort less transaction and everyone was extremely helpful and efficient. We drove 2 hours to purchase vehicle. Our salesman, Ty Merritt, was ready and waiting for us. We were given the keys to test drive on our own. Upon return paperwork was ready and trade-in was assessed, In less than 2 hours the transaction was complete from start to finish, including a car wash.

I had been on a search for used a honda for a while. Found a 2008 Honda Element that had been traded in. I talked to Ty. Ty went out of his way to bring the Element to my area for me to test drive. This dealership went out of there way for me. They were Very Patient while negotiated with my bank. Once we agreed on a deal, I did not have a way to pick up the car, so Ty arranged for a driver to drive from Orangeburg to my home in the summerville area, back to Orangeburg so i could pick up the car. The paper work was already done and all i had to do was sign the final documents and i was on my way. Tremendous service and low pressure dealership without the extra fees.

Not your typical dealership. I don't normally buy from dealers, BUT I found a great vehicle at a great price and had a great experience with Ty Merritt! Very easy to work with, very nice, no pressure environment. I recommend you buy your next Chevy from Fairey Chevrolet, I did!
