DO NOT PURCHASE VEHICLES OR HAVE YOUR VEHICLES SERVICED HERE UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TO BE NEGLIGENT UNTIL ITS CONVENIENT TO START CHARGING YOU VS DOING WARRANTY WORK. Loyalty and literally hundreds of thousands of dollars mean nothing to this place. We’ve purchased 2 vehicles from Chalmers and I had an order in for a $105k f450. We’ve referred several friends and family member to Chalmers for both purchases and service. We’ve come from as far as Moriarty, skipping Rich in Edgewood, to have our vehicles serviced here. Even though we had a few mishaps with a previous service advisor, we stayed loyal to Chalmers through the years. Recently, they had our 2021 f150 in. We decided to have a check engine light for an emissions leak checked out for the third time by them. This time around, they finally diagnosed what the issue was. Mind you, the first 2 times they had it the truck was under 3 year/36,000 mile warranty and was misdiagnosed. Well now, conveniently, they found the issue and it’s not covered under the powertrain warranty. After I made it clear that had they performed appropriate diagnostics the first 2 times, they would have found the issue and thus the failing sensor would have been covered under warranty, Ed, the service manager, basically threw his hands in the air and said “all Ford is willing to cover is half”. When I asked how much Chalmers was going to cover for their mistake he straight up said zero, albeit recognizing it was their fault. I made it clear that if we were going to be liable for the $710 mistake they made that we would never give Chalmers another cent of business. So here we are. Had problems with Gallup & Grants dealership so I contacted Chalmers n thy provided the recall services on my Ecosport with no problems n they provided a loaner while my SUV was in shop and services done quickly excellent services provided to their customers thank you Chalmers ford company thank you
