My On-Going Experience with Morgan McClure Chevrolet in Coeburn, Virginia I first tried to make an appointment with Morgan McClure on February the 1st (because I know that if I just come in someone will ask "Do you have an appointment?"), but whomever I spoke with on the phone told me that they couldn't make me an appointment over the phone and that I just had to come in on Monday morning when they opened at 8, so I did just that. And sure enough, the first thing I was asked was: "Do you have an appointment?" What's worse, even though there were only two cars waiting to be serviced, I was informed that the soonest that they could see me would be Thursday. Since I had no other choice, save go somewhere else, I took the Thursday spot and returned on that day. After waiting a little under an hour, I was informed that my transmission needed to be replaced and that they would have to order me one and would let me know when it came in. After waiting over two weeks, I finally received a call on the 22nd that my transmission had arrived the day before and that they would get back to me on the 24th. I, of course, assumed that this meant that they would start working on my car on the 24th, which was Monday. However, come Monday morning, I received another call, this time informing me that they wouldn't start working on my car until the 26th, which was Wednesday. I wasn't happy about this, but there was nothing I could do but agree to bring it in Wednesday morning--which I did. I was told that the job would take a day-and-a-half and was given a ride back home. I waited all day Thursday to hear back from them--which I never did. Friday played out exactly the same--waited around all day and never heard back from them. When it got to be 5 o'clock I decided to call them for a progress report--all while hoping and praying that they had already finished changing my transmission. My prayers were not answered--they were not finished, and the mechanics had already gone home for the day. The job that I was told would take a day-and-a-half is now three days and counting. And since the mechanics don't work on weekends, it's going to be at least Monday (aka March the 3rd) before they even resume working on my car--which is my only means of transportation. Sadly, this is not the first time that they have shown me their lackluster communication skills or how little they value me as a client. The last time I needed them to order me a part played out almost exactly the same and ended up taking over a month before I finally got the part I needed replaced. Even though I have purchased two cars from them and have used their mechanical services several times, this will be the last time I ever give Morgan McClure my business--not only am I going elsewhere for all future car repairs, but I am also going elsewhere the next time I need to purchase a vehicle.

Exceptional experience in car shopping!!!
The experience was exceptional. Greg Conaway the sales coordinator and Teresa Kiser in the finance department worked together to put together a great deal for us. Both were great at explaining our options and helping us get exactly the options we wanted. We keep vehicles for along time and always want to make sure we get a good quality vehicle at a good price, some thing that will last us and be reliable. So most of our car purchases have been made at Morgan-McClure. In fact, the service department is so exceptional there that that has always been a big factor playing into our decision. There was no high-pressure salesmanship- Greg and Teresa treated us fairly and honestly and we will always refer friends and family to Morgan-McClure.
