I had a great experience with the people at this dealership. They weren’t too pushy when it came to finding a vehicle. They ensured I found a vehicle exactly how I wanted it. This was our first visit to Lucas Smith Dodge as we have both been Chevy people for all of our adult years. We came to Lucas Smith to test drive a Jeep that I found on their website. I fell in love with the Jeep after driving it. We then met with our sales person, Chris Engelage who took good care of us and worked out an acceptable offer for us to buy the Jeep. Our experience with Chris was very positive and we're very satisfied with our Jeep purchase from Lucas Smith Dodge.

Speaking with Rick Lucas was the worst experience I’ve...

Speaking with Rick Lucas was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a car dealership. I bought a vehicle from Doug Marler the year prior to this and was speaking with him about another purchase. While sipping by to look at a truck Rick came outside and was completely inappropriate and rude, I have no idea what made him so mad but when you start cursing at customers and being a complete xxx it does not make you want to buy from that dealership. As I said, I’ve had a very good experience with doug and the dealership in the past, although I will make my vehicle purchase elsewhere due to Rick Lucas.

Writing product reviews can sometimes be a task of...

Writing product reviews can sometimes be a task of explaining hope over reality, but in the case of reviewing my experiences with ordering a new diesel Gladiator Jeep, both the former and latter expressions add up to a significant value add of positive experience. I should preface my remarks first by mentioning that I am a retired supply chain specialist so I'm always looking at goods and services that add value to the end product vs. non-value added to decide on a thumbs up or thumbs down opinion. Pete Chinette, my customer sales representative, worked with me over a couple of visits to build my Gladiator to my specific requirements to make sure it would meet my needs of pulling a small RV and provide me with the best in accessories to make my future traveling adventures as safe and enjoyable as possible. I guess that's why I'm a repeat customer to Lucas-Smith Chrysler as Pete also helped me outfit a 2015 Cherokee six years ago for different requirements. Over the past two vehicle purchases I've found the folks at Lucas go out of their way to try and fit the vehicle purchase to my specific needs and not try to just sell me whatever they have currently on the lot. Both of my purchases have been either located at another dealer and trucked to Lucas for pick-up or in the case of my Gladiator, ordered from the factory with just the right components to suit my requirements. In addition to the excellent new vehicle buying experience, for me its important to know the dealer's service department is professional and competent to service my vehicles. I've found out over the years the hard way that a strong dealer service department is worth driving extra miles for servicing and even important in looking at the initial cost of the vehicle if in reason, to support the dealership. The guys and gals in the service department there have saved me money and breakdown cost a couple of times during my Cherokee high mileage (152,000 miles) adventures and have given me complete confidence that they will be there to support my future visions of adventure. For me, that's what I consider value added content. In conclusion I highly recommend Lucas-Smith Chrysler if your looking for a solid reputable dealer that goes beyond the typical necessary retailer relationship to a higher level of accountability to providing a product that fits your individual automotive needs. Two thumbs up!
