My experience with Green Hyundai’s sales department was

My experience with Green Hyundai’s sales department was regrettably far from satisfactory, tarnishing what could have been a straightforward and positive transaction into a frustrating ordeal. From the outset, I encountered a series of red flags that left me feeling disheartened and distrustful of the dealership's practices. Upon entering the showroom after my test drive, I was met with an initial reluctance to provide me with a comprehensive breakdown of the out-the-door price, a standard request when considering a vehicle purchase. Despite my insistence, the sales representative hesitated, only willing to divulge pricing options verbally. This lack of transparency set an uncomfortable tone for the remainder of our interaction. My concerns deepened when I requested a detailed pricing document, clearly outlining the costs both with and without trade-in. Instead of accommodating my request, the salesman presented me with a mere screenshot of the car's MSRP and taxes, hastily scribbled with ballpoint pen marks that seemed more like an afterthought than a professional presentation. Even more disconcerting was the fact that I was not permitted to retain the printed screenshot for reference, a puzzling restriction that only exacerbated my doubts. Compounding my frustration was the salesman's refusal to disclose the actual trade-in value of my current vehicle, as determined by the finance manager. Despite my repeated inquiries, I was met with evasiveness, leaving me in the dark regarding a crucial aspect of the negotiation process. Moreover, the dealership's reluctance to engage in any form of negotiation, including the refusal to consider loyalty discounts off the MSRP, further underscored their lack of willingness to accommodate customer preferences. The most concerning aspect of this experience was the dealership's apparent aversion to providing detailed pricing documents, a fundamental aspect of any reputable business transaction. This refusal not only raised suspicions of hidden fees but also cast doubt on the integrity of the dealership's pricing structure. In conclusion, my encounter with Green Hyundai left me deeply dissatisfied and disillusioned. The absence of transparency, reluctance to negotiate, and refusal to provide essential documentation undermined any trust I may have had in their professionalism. As a discerning consumer, I am compelled to caution others against engaging with this dealership, as their practices fall short of the standards expected in the automotive industry.

Green Hyundai is the best place to purchase. If you want to buy a vehicle and get in and out knowing what you bought. This place was the place. They bent over backwards to help me out.

NOT worth the headache & tv & radio ads are just H

You're just a number at Green Hyundai. VERY high pressure sales (floor manager - John). I bought 2 new cars. 1 in June traded & upgraded my car in August. Got my 2nd car at the beginning of August & they didn't process the paperwork til 3 weeks later only after inquiring with Secretary of State the the paperwork wasn't submitted yet. Inquired about purchasing car & rental insurance on my apartment & was told by John McCarthy (floor manager) who sold my 2 vehicles to me I was "STUPID" for buying insurance online instead of getting it with Green Family Insurance. Nothing but problems with the head manager of Green Family Insurance Corely Lee over insurance issues. Was told I had car insurance over the weekend in which I didn't cause the insurance app was waiting approval & was told to cancel my insurance with Progressive Insurance which I did. Mr. Comely Lee NEVER said anything about the application needing approval or I wouldn't have canceled my insurance with Progressive. Had another issue with my insurance & was told by Corely Lee that he called & left a message on a Friday & no message but left a text messages to call him. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Corely Lee told me NOT to worry im covered but the next day have a cancelation notice on my apartment rental the next day. None of the money has been deducted from my checking account cause the couldn't find my bank in the system & then in conversation with Mr. Lee he told me that "if I could've possibly switched accounts but putting the blame on me. I will NOT buy anymore vehicles from Green Hyundai. My sister & brother-in -law have bought many vehicles from Gren as well as for their daughter. The tv & radio ads are just HYPE! Once you purchase a vehicle everything else is out the window. DON'T buy from Green Hyundai. Go somewhere else & save yourself a major headache cause it's NOT worth it Green Hyundai!

Not about the people its about the cars

I bought a 2011 truck from them for 23k I drove it 10k mile started having engine issues no oil pressure. i took it to their shop where iwas to told to use heavier oil. I took it to 2 other shops and both said engine was no good needed replaced i notified Green service of it and was told until it blows nothing they can do. now 13k miles later it has blown and green said its nothing they can fix has to go through warranty so they towed truck to Jacksonville where it presently set denied warranty using every excuse to deny it. mainly fot not changing plugs at 95k and air filter at 90k as far as oil changes they were all done the first one at 83k i did my self which they say voided warranty as well. so to sum it up I put 10k on truck was told engine was no good they would not fix it i drove it 13k miles more dealing with oil issues that they was aware of and now it gave out stuck in Jacksonville they won't tow it back to Springfield and said its a paper weight unless i pay for new engine. I am a small business owner that relies on the truck for work who reach roughly 1k people a month . I have all documents to support this nonsense and will be posting them on my site. Also i will have documents showing it was not serviced when they sold it to me. Car buyers beware the green for life warranty is a joke. 23000..00 dollars later i found out its about the cars not the people.

Inept. Would not recommend. Took my Hyundai Elantra in for three separate emissions repairs and they still couldn't fix it. I paid $1,400 dollars in repairs and my car wouldn't pass an emissions test at a DMV facility. Money down the drain. They charged $100 just to look at my car EACH time I brought it in for the same repair. I got a call from them two weeks after a repair was finished to let me know that a part came in for my vehicle. However, this was a part that was already replaced! Also, I came in once and they didn't even have my repair history on file. Im sorry, but the mechanics here have no idea what they're doing, and like every dealer mechanic shop, they charge you the most for your Hyundai because it's the "official" dealer mechanic shop. Never going back here again. Ever.

Purchasing a used car.

I went to green on North Dirksen to purchase a used car for my son to take to college. Carrie kept in regular contact with me while she looked for a car that would suit our needs. She found us a very nice preowned Hyundai Santa Fe. I was able to get a good price for the car I would definitely shop there again. Billy was also very helpful when he took over for Carrie.

Green Hyundai North dirkson parkway Springfield il

I had a great experience buying a vehicle from Green Hyundai on North dirkson. It was so good my mom purchased a vehicle as well. The only thing that is very disappointing is I have refferd two ppl there that bought vehicles as well and I have yet to receive my refferal money. It's been almost 4 months since these two have purchased there vehicles. I've called and haven't gotten a response back. Very false advertising n I will not refer anybody again. I will finish paying my car off and go else where. I have purchased vehicles from other dealers n referred ppl and always got my money.

Outstanding Buying Experience, Excellent Salesman

Outstanding Buying Experience from Green Family Stores Lincoln Mazda, 3760 South 6th Street, Springfield Illinois! Excellent Salesman by the name of "Justin Liss". Justin takes the time to listen to what you want and need, and then locates the car for you to test drive, there is NO PRESSURE from him to BUY it. We loved the car, told him what we could afford per month and what we could put down, he went to the finance person, came back with an offer, we made an adjustment, he went back to the finance person and the deal was done. We bought a great New 2016 Mazda 3 Hatchback with a Lifetime Warranty! This is our 4th vehicle purchase from "Green Family Stores", we have NEVER paid for an oil change or a car wash & vacuum, and we have ALWAYS been treated nicely! Great experience buying our first Hyundai!

Took the family SUV shopping all day throughout Springfield.....the wife and a very active 16 month old boy. We went to Green Hyundai Certified at the end of the day ready to call it a day but we promised we would show up as part of our trip from Jacksonville. Worked with Internet Sales Manager Cameron McClellan. He was excellent and did not push us to buy like salesmen traditionally do. Cameron patiently showed us a plethora of SUV choices and we found a sharp certified pre-owned 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport with the Popular Equipment and Leather Premium Equipment packages. He also worked to get us top dollar for our trade at thousands better than any Springfield dealer could. We had our loan arranged with my credit union prior to the visit. But they willingly negotiated with us on our trade and vehicle sale price; we struck a deal quickly. Total time from walking in to see Cameron and buying our first ever Hyundai was just over 2 hours with touring the lot and finding our perfect Hyundai that literally just arrived and received detailing the same day. We initially did not expect anything prior to the visit but Cameron certainly showed us a great dealership that values people instead of treating them as just another number to meet a quota. I've always owned American brands and never thought I'd see myself in a Hyundai. I underestimated the features loaded onto these vehicles. Very pleased with my Santa Fe Sport and I truly believe in how solid the Hyundai brand has become over the years. I would buy from this dealership and Cameron again. Thank you!

Horrible all the way around

All the radio commercials are sickening. This place is nothing they make it sound like on the radio. Service is horrible and there is no management team at all ! They will tell you whatever you want to hear to sell a car but after that you can't find anyone who wants or knows how to deal with issues. Buyers beware !
