A note of thanks but first, Buyer beware!

A note of thanks but first, Buyer beware! Just had by far the worst dealership experience I’ve ever had. We went in 7/1/2025 to buy a beautiful CPO 2022 Mazda CX-30 with just over 17,000 miles for my daughter in med school. We communicated that safety and reliability were our primary needs, followed closely by staying within the constraints of a very tight budget. The advertised price earlier the same day was $25,648 on a car that books out around $24,900 (retail), with an outside chance of being valued at that list price if we’re being very generous. We figured we’d be able to come to a mutually beneficial deal. We were hoping to get a good deal, and the dealer makes some $$$$ (win-win). The published list price increased to $25,740 literally the minute we walked in the dealership doors. This was strange especially when no one from the dealership could or would answer for that when I asked specifically how or why that happened. We had a significant down payment, almost 40% of the asking price before any negotiating, and buyers with 739 and 843 credit scores respectively (qualifies for the best possible rate especially with the sizable down payment). After some ridiculous back and forth which I had specifically asked them not to do, they had the audacity to try and sell us the car for just a hair under $28,000 (almost what it’s original MSRP was when new in 2022 and another $2,000 beyond published list price. They actually wrote $27,600 + on the worksheet as the selling price before TTL) after we were extremely clear about what our terms needed to be due to our daughter’s extremely tight school budget. This was all after I showed them I had run the numbers based off their original list price and the higher rate they were offering without any negotiating. What they were trying to sell didn’t even come close to matching what they had posted online by way of selling price or rate. They were off by thousands of dollars. At this point the sales manager came out of his office all puffed up and asked how we were doing? I told him “less awesome than when we walked in,” he said “well I can’t do that deal, have a nice day” and stormed off. They clearly didn’t want our business. We left, drove 3 minutes down the street and made an actual deal at the right numbers on a CPO 2025 Honda HR-V sport with 2,751 miles. This deal included an all but brand new car with a much higher current value, with way fewer miles, which has better reliability and safety ratings with far better brand reputation, and full factory and extended CPO warranties for thousands of dollars less than a 3 year old used car. So in other words we went in to Tim Dahle Mazda - Murray to buy a beautiful used car with admittedly low miles for its year, and in great condition only to get completely jerked around on numbers and then dismissed. What a horrible experience, atrocious customer service, and beyond rude behavior from the business manager and sales manager. They did not listen to our needs, show any interest in us as anything other than a “mark,” or make any attempt to meet our needs or a make deal, they only tried to railroad us and put us upside down in a 3 year old used car just to make a buck. At the numbers they were showing we would have almost certainly needed gap insurance which is ludicrous with almost 40% down. We were there to buy, not to play games and get buried in a bad deal. A word of caution to any would be customers of Tim Dahle Mazda Murray, Do your homework well before visiting this dealership. My experience was that their business model is to take people for everything they can and hope their customers aren’t savvy enough to know any better. On the flip side, a note of sincere thanks to the management team at Tim Dahle Mazda for not allowing us to a make a horrible deal on the wrong car for my daughter. This led us to the absolute perfect deal on the ideal car for her which was happily and gratefully purchased from their competitor do

If I could rate less than "0" I would give this

If I could rate less than "0" I would give this dealership a minus 10 (-10)! They are dishonest and unprofessional after the purchase of not only one but 2 used vehicles. I would never recommend them to anyone! The absolutely worse dealership I have dealt with in my many many years of purchasing. They talk you into a service contract that is totally worthless but makes plenty of money for them. Absolutely horrible experience!

We had an excellent experience buying our new cx-90 phev

We had an excellent experience buying our new cx-90 phev at this dealership! We met with all the Mazda dealers around slc and this team, was by far, the most knowledgeable and transparent about every line item we had questions about on the invoice and purchase agreement.

If I could give them a negative rating I would.

If I could give them a negative rating I would. I had bought a car from D Dahle Mazda very same location that is now bought out by Tim Dahle Mazda. Long story short I bought a new Mazda at Tim Dahle Southtown which all the employee's there are Amazing and Treat you like Royalty I would highly recommend going there instead. Anyways I cancled my Gap insurance coverage with the Mazda i traded in for a new Mazda Suv which the Gap insurance Agency informed me it would be sent to the Murray Location. I called and left messages and never got a call back. I drove down 2 times to be treated like garbage. Scott and Curtis which are Managers there told me they have nothing to do with it due to them being part of Tim Dahle but the Funny thing is Tim Dahle (which is the brother of D dahle)bought out D Dahle so yes it is now part of you. Anyhow I have proof they received my check and they told me they would have Rob with D Dahle contact us. Rob has an office there but they arent part of D Dahle Mazda though right? lol. Rob called and informed that he recieved my money and has made excuse after excuse such as: The money should be there in a couple days. He is on Vacation won't be back for a week. He would use the excuse he wasnt in at the time we called. Newest one was that he recieved my money but then had to send it to the owner in Oregon and he had to cut me a check and they would have the check for me by July 1st. Mind you ive been fighting for my check since May. July comes No calls or Text or Email. Nothing since the end of June and no check in July. Contacted Curtis and told him to have Rob contact me he said he would. NOTHING. Scott said he would have him contact us or get to the bottom of it and get an answer and still nothing. Scott told my husband "What do u want me to do? I wrote it on a paper and slid it under his door. Not my fault he didnt come in today".Yet they wont give us Robs contact info mind you. So we couldnt email or call his direct line we had to go threw them."Tim Dahle" the ones that arent associated ? Lol. Sounds Shady to me! My check was mailed May 26th to the Murray Location and I still have not received it. I have proof in multiple Texts/Emails that they have had my check and keep making excuses to not give me my money. I have now contacted the Utah Consumer Protection Division and filed a case with all the proof I have. These people are SHADY and if I was you, if your thinking about buying a Mazda go to" Mazda Southtown " Where you won't be lied to / Stole from or Treated like crap. I'll let the Consumer Protection Agency of Utah take it from here.

Disappointing

Definately NOT the dealership and NOT the service they used to offer. Very disappointing. I would purchase elsewhere and service elsewhere. They couldn't care less unless you are givivng them money currently.

Purchased a 2020 Mazda Certified Pre-Owned from

Purchased a 2020 Mazda Certified Pre-Owned from dealership. Once we took the car home and cleaned out the glove-box, we discovered documentation showing that the vehicle had been wrecked twice totaling 45% of the vehicle's value. Weird…since CarFax had zero reported injuries. Of course, we shared the documents with dealership, to which they were very sympathetic and promised to: 1) find a replacement vehicle w/ same specs or 2) give us our money back. Well you can imagine what happened when 3 vehicles were not the same specs...no money back!! Only after getting Utah Commerce Division of Consumer Protection involved, did the dealership’s General Manager contact us to try to resolve. This is not a place to do 'honest' business!!

Had an appointment to buy a car.

Had an appointment to buy a car. They pulled the credit of myself and my co-signer. I told them the day before I would be in FOR MY APPOINTMENT to buy the car. They sold it to someone else, saying "It's first come, first serve". So not only did I lose out on the car, they hurt my credit and my co-signers. Not only will I never recommend them, I actively encourage you to go somewhere else. Even if just to save your credit rating. They sales person I was with was great. Management leaves much to desire.

We have purchased 3 cars from Dahle Mazda in Murray.

We have purchased 3 cars from Dahle Mazda in Murray. The first two were perfect and we were proud owners of those cars. We contacted them within a month when the 3rd, recently purchased car had an engine light come on. I contacted the sales manager who had the service department reach out to me, we paid them to assess the problem and the service department told us that we needed to have the engine replaced. They quoted $7,500 to put in a used engine with over 70k miles on it (the ruined engine had 79k miles) and they'd give us a 1 year warranty on the engine. I contacted several other places and the local Ford dealership said they would put in a NEW engine (0 miles on it) for $6,250. I was shocked! So I felt, incorrectly, that I had a trusting relationship with them. I thought that, even if they didn't give us a warranty, they certainly would have checked something like whether a major defect existed in the car before taking it in as a trade and before putting it back out to sell because they have a multi-million dollar service department and checking whether the engine was ruined required just a compression test to see if it was seriously defective. So I felt that their behavior was a betrayal of that trust I had naively had in them. And then to have them quote more to do the repairs with a used engine than we paid to have a new engine put in was a very disappointing discovery. I think they should be ashamed at their failure to insure we didn't have to immediately correct a very expensive defect. The sales team got their commissions. The owners got their profit from the sale. And they got it from a trusting customer who essentially had to pay a lot more for their car than an ethical business would have allowed to happen. Sadly I warn future customers about Dahle Mazda: caveat emptor!

I bought a 2012 Chrysler 200 on 1/27/2023 for $4,000 from

I bought a 2012 Chrysler 200 on 1/27/2023 for $4,000 from them. The next day the check-engine light was on. I sent it out for repair. I paid $1,861.19 and drove it back on 2/8/2023. The next day the check-engine light was on again. I sent it out again for repair. Drove back on 2/16/2023 after paying $946.05. But the light went on again the next day. The last diagnosis told me the engine need to be replaced. The cost would be $8,629.99. They sell lemon cars. Don't trust them! I don't envy them because what you do to others will be done to you multiplied.
