We bought a 4Runner from Carmax. It had a shimmy at 70mph. Not sure how they didn't notice this during their inspection (says a little about the quality of their inspection). We agreed to go ahead and get it, but to set an appointment with their service center to get the issue corrected within their 90 days window. The following Monday, I came by and set an appointment (the earliest date available was 4 weeks away). Ok. Set an appointment for 9am. The date came. We were told to be there 15 mins in advance. My wife showed up exactly 16 mins til 9. She waited 2 hours. Turns out the tires need to be replaced. They need to order them. Good news is that they are paying for the tires. Bad news is that we showed up on time and still had to wait 2 hours. How about a phone call to say "We're running late"?

They made everything so easy. Got the car I never knew I wanted and I love it. Don't plan on taking it in any time soon but I know where I'll be going when I do.

Cross Country
My Subaru Forester was ideal for the task at hand. Salesman Nick, Derrick in service, Ben in mechanics covered all necessary elements. This vehicle was absolutely reliable throughout a 3,000 mile drive through British Columbia to Alaska. The team of CarMax, Hoover AL were as accommodating as possible in preparation and the drive was successful.

I had a wonderful experience.
My wife went in to buy a car alone, as I was out of state working. She worked with a salesman by the name of Mr. Jolly. He was amazing with her. He showed her the cars she wanted to look at, ran credit through the bank of our request and spent the necessary time it took to seal the deal. He was steadfast, helpful and attentive. I was please to meet Mr. Jolly and thank him personally when I came in a few days later to sign paperwork that she had already signed. She was happy and if mama is happy, I'm happy.

We were greeted at the door by a lady and explained that my car which we bought at Car Max had been totaled in an accident. I was driving a rental that was provided by the driver at faults insurance. They wanted it turned back in by the end of the day but had not yet paid the claim. She said there was nothing she could do as I could not buy a second car until the first one was paid off. We left, only to return about an hour later. We asked if she could run our credit and see if we could buy a second car. She did and we were approved. They showed us one car, a 17,000 $ 2015 Kia Sorrento. We asked to see other cars or a truck. We were told that the Kia was the only vehicle they had in our price range and they refused to show us any other vehicle. We should never have been turned away the first time without her even checking our credit and I do not believe they had no other vehicles. It did not appear that they wanted our business. I also do not believe they only had one vehicle in the 17,000 $ range.

Not too impressed
The facility was nice and the car choices are good. My dealer seemed distracted. They did not appear busy but he didn't seem interested in my being there. I felt I was pulling him from something more important. The prices seemed fair. I would only recommend if you want to get in buy and leave.
