CarMax Jacksonville

They Sold car out from under me while I was enroute to pick it up on an agreed upon price. It was very costly to me in time, 6 hours of driving time, financially and disappointment. From what I had considered a top of the line dealership it was extremely expensive and disappointing. Very unethical.

Can't buy a car in Florida if you're not from Florida. CarMax loses a lot of credibility with me. They should address this issue by letting the buyer know,"Loudly" that this is a major issue and not just an inconvenience. I would have bought this car. I'm still shopping but not at CarMax.

They did NOT allow the car to be shipped from FL to NJ, so no sale. I wasn't about the fly to FL just to look at the xxxx car and do the paperwork there. AND drive it home to NJ from FL or pay for shipping. Ridiculous experience. I own another Nissan from my local Car Max (which was thankfully on the lot in NJ).

Bought a 2019 Subaru Forester on March 24, 2023...paid with personal check so no financing. They put a "temp" plate on it that expired April 22, 2023 and when I called to find out where my title was they said it was still pending so they would send me another temp plate. Never received so called again 2 weeks later. Now they said there was a problem with the title (Carmax bought the car at auction) and somehow there was a 2nd title printed so my registration wouldn't go there with the DMV. Said they would send me another temp plate which I did receive but it had the wrong VIN # on it. It's almost 2 months since I bought the car and there is still no answer when I will get my car registered so I can put my Florida license plate on. Was just on hold for 30 minutes and finally got disconnected. Worst car buying experience in my life! I would NEVER got to Carmax again.

CARMAX sold me a car that was messed up. The service manager told me that the car had the SAME issues at other locations, but yet they still sold it. They put my kids and I lives in danger but driving this messed up car. They have no compassion.

Beware!! My daughter had a car shipped in, they told it her it was available and she scheduled a test drive and when we went to her appointment last night they had 'loaned' it to someone else! They told us they would reach out to the people they loaned it to and have them bring it back so we could test drive it this afternoon... we haven't heard from them by noon so we call and they are saying they won't have it back for almost a week and they 'apologize'. Sales manager at Jacksonville West location is very rude and wouldn't even let me talk without interrupting and talking over me. We are going elsewhere!!! *Unfortunately, this was my daughters dream car.*

Do not buy from this location. They sold me a car with multiple issues, then took a month to schedule service. They have now had my car for 4 days and I still don’t know when I will get it back. They have not provided a rental car.

Excellent service fast and efficient didn’t have the vehicle I am looking for but very good service. Greeted right away friendliness was welcomed.Highly Recommended. A great place to do business with.

We were looking for a used pickup truck and wanted to trade in our old one. CarMax bought our old truck at a much higher value than any of the other dealers around and it was so easy. We looked at what they had in stock and didn't end up purchasing one- but we tell everyone now to check out CarMax because they make it so simple and easy!

CarMax is sending me emails to help me find a used Honda Accord .Havent found one I want yet but still trying. I do appreciate the help from CarMax.
