Just great

This was a great car shopping experience. I am very impressed by the overall service we got at Choice auto; everyone that helped us was knowledgeable and professional. I appreciated the straight forward, no "BS" business practices that their employees exhibited during my buying experience. Choice auto would be my first option next time when I need another new Honda.

Great experience

Car dealerships in general are The Worst, and buying a car is generally The Worst, so when my old tin can took a dumper and I was forced to find something new, I was a little stressed. That's probably putting it mildly. I can't say that I sought out Choice Auto for any particular reason other than that a trusted coworker said she had done business with them in the past and gave them the thumbs up because they were no-haggle and easy to work with. Music to my ears. As a customer, I don't need to be wooed with cookies and coffee and treats, nor do I need a buying "experience." Let's just get down to brass tacks and move the transaction along. That's exactly what the guys at Choice Auto did for me. I made an appointment and met with my salesman, Andre. I told him exactly what I wanted and what my price range was, and in no less than two hours, I left with exactly what I came for: a brand new/used car at a reasonable price with windows that roll down. (Of course there are other bells and whistles on the car, but after what I'd been driving before, this is kind of a big deal.) I just wish that this would be the experience anywhere you go to buy a car!! I will definitely recommend those guys for any of my friends and family :)

Ridiculous restrictions--Don't waste your time

I came to test drive one of the sedans on the lot after seeing it online. The one and only salesman on the lot that day was dressed in shorts! Not quite the professional attire for someone trying to impress a buyer. But then it appears that this company doesn't give two cents about the customer as I found out during the whole experience. The first thing I was told was that it was a no haggle lot and if I didn't like the price, that was too bad. Okay, I can accept that and it is not that unheard of. However, before the test drive, I was told that I could not take it on the freeway and that I could only drive a prescribed route dictated by Choice Auto (very short route!). I liked the car but as a more informed consumer, I wanted to take the car to my mechanic to make sure it had no surprises in store for me. When I said my mechanic was approximately 12 miles away, I was told that I could only take it to a mechanic within a 1/2 mile radius of the car lot! I have never experienced this kind of attitude in a car lot in all of my car shopping life and I am no spring chicken! After hearing their restrictions, and although I did like the car, I absolutely did not appreciate being treated like a total fool. I have visited many lots over the past month and not one of the other car sales businesses that I have ever been to have had such restrictions on where and how far you can test drive a vehicle nor have I ever been told I could only take it to a mechanic within 1/2 mile of the car lot. If anyone is considering buying a vehicle from these people, I would strongly advise against it unless you are a mechanic or a huge gambler. It isn't worth the time or expense to purchase a car here because you won't know what you are getting until after you buy the darn vehicle and then it is too late, isn't it??!!

Great Dealership!

Walli, Andre and Kevin were great to deal with. It was a relief to deal with a place that didn't bullsh*t you, had quality used cars AND at the best prices around. Choice Auto N Truck was the most honest and professional dealership I have been to as I shopped all over Sacramento and Bay Area. They were very respectful and did not pressure me into anything. Simple sales technique .. Thats the car, thats the price buy it if you like it... and I DID.. Financing through them with a major bank was easy and at a great rate, I am very happy and relieved with my whole car buying experience. You better believe I will send all my friends and family to Choice Auto N Truck when they need a vehicle.. If your car shopping, do yourself a favor and at least check these guys out, you won't be disappointed.

Dealer response

Thank you Sam, people like you make this job easy and fun, thank you for your 5 star review and most imprtant is you giving us your business. We value you as our customer and appreciate the opportunity to serve you.

looked high and low for the exact car I wanted

I shopped all over and looked high and low for the exact car I wanted and the best deal. I found the car at Choice Auto. When it came to the deal they had the best deal around. I was very surprised that there was no high pressure to buy. The reason was they price their cars to sell without having to push you. I was able to take my time looking elsewhere. But I came back for the best deal around and with no regrets. I would buy another car from them without hesitation!

Horrible service

Went to check out a vehicle that I saw on autotrader.com and the salesman, I believe his name was Mike, was very rude. We went on a Saturday, and they were supposedly very busy with only two salesmen working that day. They paid no attention to us or our interests and repetitively said things to make us feel dumb and rushed. After telling him which vehicle we were interested in, and before we even got to look at the car, the first thing he said was, "ARE YOU PAYING WITH CASH?" His exact words! Who does that?! Did not end up getting the car because not only was he not negotiable for a car that was overpriced compared to kbb, they were rude and acted like they did not care or need our service. They do not care about service, all they care about is selling their cars. I understand that this is a business and you have to get as many sales as you can, but with their lack of customer service, you can find better cars elsewhere from dealers who want your service.

Go Somewhere Else

Went here to look at a Honda the salesman was friendly in the beginning but went downhill. He first gave us a lecture on why Kelley blue book and other similar resources are useless, false and so on. We then turned the car on to test the lights and blinkers and were immediately told not to! we found out why because after about 5 minutes the car battery had died and they had to jump it to even get it started. To top it off the salesman got angry at us! Obviously the car had something wrong with it either died battery or bad electrical work either way this place is not selling dependable cars.

Good guys

I like these guys. I bought a Lexus from them almost 6 years ago, and they still remember my name when I walk in the door. Easy to work with, low pressure, good prices. They sell used luxury cars almost exclusively. I'm comfortable buying from them.
