Disappointed
I found a car that I wanted to buy online. Messaged the dealer, and was replied to by a salesman. I submitted information about my trade, and was given a Lowball offer. So I replied with a Lowball offer on their car. The salesman's reply was another $1000 for my trade, and "I'm not gonna drop the price on ours cuz we have plenty of people interested in it." (Exact words.) So I passed on dealing with this dealer. If you're looking to negotiate with Hometown Chevrolet, good luck.

Service Center - bad customer service
This review is about the service department experience I had this morning. I had scheduled an 8 AM oil change/tire rotation and arrived on time. However, when I had arrived the front doors were locked and when I had looked inside through the windows I saw that the the service center door was shut as well, but there was someone sitting at the desk. I walked around the building to check the service area, but none of the service garages were opened nor saw any cars in the garages getting ready to be worked on. There was another door outside that led into the service center, but a sign on the door stated “Employee Entrance Only” and an arrow under the notification pointing towards the front of the building to use the main door to get in. After looking I googled the contact information of the Chevy dealership and called the number provided I found. The first time I called the number rang twice and stated the number I was trying to call wasn’t available at the time. It is now 8:04 and I’m getting frustrated so I call the number again right after I got the message and this time it played music in the background, then rang 4x, and prompt me to leave a voicemail in which I did stating that I had an appointment at 8AM and I was out front, but could reach anybody and see if someone could give me a call back right away. By this time I’m in my car waiting for my husband to arrive to pick me up if we were to had drop off the car like scheduled and he told me to call again. I called for the 3rd time and again, nobody answered. It could have been close to 8:20 was when I started seeing cars go into the garage wondering when did they start opening those doors and then a customer had walked into the building at 8:25. I followed in and then had noticed inside that the service door was opened. After she left I had told the representative that I had an appointment at 8 AM, the doors were locked and I wasn’t able to get in and that I have tried calling numerous times even left a voicemail. He flat out told me that he had been there since 7AM and that none of the doors were locked, also never received any calls or voicemails from me nor anyone as I was literally looking at his desk phone seeing the red light blinking. Then he told me that there was nothing he could do because I had walked in at 8:25 and that he was full, can’t take any more appointments today, a technician had called out, and I needed to reschedule for another day. I kept telling him that I was physically at the dealership for my appointment on time, but the front doors were locked and I couldn’t get in and that I have called. Then in his words he stated while he chuckled “I’m not calling you a liar, but I didn’t get any call from you or a voicemail at all and those doors were not locked. I can’t take you today.” and then asked “what do you want me to do? What is there you would want for me to do?”. By this time I’m already frustrated and then my husband had arrived and I explained everything to him. The representative then got to telling us again that there was no calls from me nor voicemail and that the doors were not locked since he’s been there since 7am after my husband told him that my phone record shows I have called. The representative then said the only thing he could see about doing was for us to just leave our car and he could probably see about it getting looked into. By this time my husband and I were already upset because of how rude the representative was to me and was getting ready to leave. My husband went back in asking for the general manager’s contact number, but the representative wouldn’t provide and stated he was the highest title employee there as he was the service director and pretty much made it seem as if we were the ones lying about the whole situation. We then contact corporate office to file a case about the customer experience we had with him.

HONEST PEOPLE!
When I first pulled up I wasn’t sure about the place. It’s not super flashy or anything... however, the salesman that helped me today was amazing and willing to do anything to answer my questions and went above and beyond to get things thoroughly checked for me. The entire staff was willing to help and answer questions as well on the used truck I was looking at.. the best part is that they were honest! Extremely honest and nothing is better than that at a car dealership these days. I didn’t end up buying the truck I was looking at. I drove four hours to get there and I would do it again if they had another vehicle I was interested in. Definitely don’t judge a book by its cover. I highly recommend them
